Mark Dorn has begun transitioning to his new duties as UW-Extension associate vice chancellor for administration and finance.
He has served as UW-Extension controller and director of business services since 2003. In his new role, he will oversee the offices of budget, business services (extramural support, accounts payable/receivable, accounting, procurement, cashiering), and internal audit. Working closely with the divisional business officers and Steven Wildeck, UW Colleges and UW-Extensionvice chancellor for administrative and financial services, he will provide leadership in the area of finance and administration. In addition, he will handle matters of general administration and be involved in institutional initiatives.
“Mark not only possesses a strong understanding of the fiscal structures within UW-Extension, but also a deep appreciation of, and commitment to, our statewide partners and programs,” said Wildeck. “I look forward to working closely with him in this new role.”
Dorn earned a bachelor’s degree in economics at Lawrence University in Appleton and a master of business administration with a major in accounting at UW-Madison. He also is a certified public accountant.
